Krav Maga Global provides realistic, modern self-defence training for adults in Auckland, based on the internationally recognised Krav Maga Global (KMG) system. Training focuses on practical skills for real-world situations, including personal safety, situational awareness, striking, and defence against common threats.
Beginners can start with an introductory course or classes. Classes are structured, progressive, and suitable for beginners through to experienced practitioners.

Custom built in June 2008, It is a beautiful space, one of the largest dedicated Aikido dojos in New Zealand with 112 sq metres of mat. Facilities include on-site accommodation, a gym and the benefits of 5 acres of beautiful countryside featuring streams, waterways and a two acres pine forest.

At Otonga we teach traditional shotokan karate in a family friendly environment. It is a fun way for both boys and girls to achieve fitness and focus.
Karate help teach self-discipline and socialization skills. A typical hour-long class begins with a warm-up, students then practice particular skills which includes kicks, punches and blocks. Each requires concentration and strict attention.
Testing for each new level is a good exercise in setting and achieving goals.
Probably the most important benefit is the respect that the students learn. For kids it often carries over into school, helping to improve behaviour and even grades.

Samurai-Arts began some 50+ years ago as "Bushido Jujutsu based in Auckland.
Training with world renown Japanese and European instructors added to the organisations skill base between 1980 and 2010 and the study of samurai-swordsmanship became a fundamental discipline. We continue to teach semi-traditional Jujutsu and traditional Kenjutsu and have a dedicated student base who are pleased to assist with initiation of new students.

Our founding principles were a technical alignment to the Osaka Buikukai style developed by Hirokazu Kobayashi Shihan, a more democratic approach to club administration and a commitment to respectful and safe training.
