Samurai-Arts began some 50+ years ago as "Bushido Jujutsu" based in Auckland.Training with world renown Japanese and European instructors added to the organisations skill base from 1980 to 2025 and the study of samurai-swordsmanship became a fundamental discipline. We continue to teach semi-traditional Jujutsu and traditional Kenjutsu with Jojutsu and Bojutsu being introduced for long term students. We are priveliged have a dedicated base of accomplished senior students who are pleased to assist with initiation of newcomers.
Safety is a major consideration for all students. Training gradually increases in intensity as skills are gained. Initially students are taught to do pnly what they can manage safely, and to seek medical advice prior to training.
We look forward to welcoming new students who have an interest in traditional aspects of martial arts. We suggest you visit our website page for full details.
